I have always been interested in massage and potion making. As a young girl growing up in England, I would gather rose petals, put them in a jar of water, and leave them in the sun. Now I know this as a simple method of infusion.
I attended a Masonic boarding school for girls. I loved sports at school and was voted captain for netball, hockey, swimming, drama, and tennis. I was also a house prefect, voted head of house. I was the school swimming champion and still enjoy swimming.
As an adult, I left the corporate world to become a full-time mum. I found myself needing some mental stimulation and took an aromatherapy massage course with Dr Vivian Lunny. I found this course fascinating, and began incorporating what I had learnt into my life and family.
Shortly after this I immigrated to New Zealand. Although this was a big move (it meant leaving my siblings and friends), I had a good feeling about coming.
On arrival, I fully embraced life. Shortly after I settled here I decided to return to studying, and completed many courses and certificates. I was the education officer for the Massage Institute of New Zealand for a couple of years, taking an active role in the running of the organisation until it merged with the Therapeutic Massage Association (TMA). I attended the AGM in 2007, intending to resign but left the meeting as president (I am still not quite sure how that happened). I was recently voted onto the executive committee of the New Zealand Register of Holistic Aroma Therapists (NZROHA).
I am a strategic intervention coach I studied through Robbins-Madannes Coaching Training. This is an amazingly effect technique designed by Tony Robbins and Cloe Madannes.
